Teciman ensures the dimensions of an offshore wind turbine for the North Sea in Andalusia for a leading renewable energy company.

The client must verify that the measurements of the prototype are correct, given the deformation that occurs in the welding process, and ensure the correct functioning of the wind turbine located offshore.

3D measurement

Our metrologists They travel to the client's facilities to carry out the 3D measurement of the piece with Laser Tracker. This laser technology allows the measurement of large, difficult-to-access assemblies with high precision.

First, measure the cylinder where the head of the wind turbine is assembled with the pole to obtain the reference measurements.

They then coordinate with the client's team to check the variation of these measures according to the deformation that the piece suffers in the process. After welding each element, our technicians verify the measurements to finally confirm that they meet the required dimensions.

Programming

As a result of this collaboration, a programming project arises for a supplier of this company. It's about the creating a program, with PCDMIS, for control critical levels of a highly complex piece of wind turbine.

Our technicians also carry out the installation, ENAC calibration and commissioning of its Three-Dimensional Measuring Machine DEA Alpha.
