Teciman collaborates in the design and development of a new seat for a leading automotive client. We provide a project team for the perimeter of welded and assembled mechanical parts.
Context
The client trusts Téciman because it cannot carry out a project of such magnitude. The TIER1, specialized in automotive vehicle interiors, must start manufacturing a new seat. Complying with all the characteristics marked in the specifications book by the OEM.
Project: Design and development of a new seat for the automotive industry
The project ranges from the design and development of the products, to their freezing. It is a very complex product since the seat is a safety element that has assembled and welded products, machined assemblies, extensometers, foams, textiles and leathers… In addition, there are different variants in terms of seat electronics, as well as in the type of finishes.
Teciman contributes a team led by a Project Manager which manages technical negotiation with internal and final clients, product quality and project planning. A Product Engineer for the development and feasibility of the product. And finally, the person responsible for the prototypes, durability tests, destructive, non-destructive... a Quality Engineer.
More than 30 years in the automotive sector
Téciman has extensive experience in the sector, providing both engineering and 3D metrology capabilities.
Our engineers participate in all stages of the development of vehicles and their components, from the prototyping phase to testing and development in serial production. We are currently working with other TIER1 and automotive OEMs in the following areas:
- Vehicle interiors, as in this case (interior of pdoors, cockpits, electronic systems, lighting…)
- Body in White (BIW)
- Logistics (supply chain, transportation and distribution of materials and components, storage)
- Technology and Electronics (anti-lock braking systems (ABS), electronic stability control (ESP), electronic systems, connectivity and communication...)
